Cracks in Shell Molding of Coated Sand Lamination Molding
Question: Our company has recently adopted a laminated sand box model to produce a foreign trade fork type product, with a maximum wall thickness of 24 and a minimum thickness of 14. We use a 9-layer stacked box to produce 8-layer workpieces, with a total height of 400 after stacking. A pressure iron is placed on top, and dry sand is used to enclose the box outside. After pouring, the sand is removed, and cracks are found in the shell shape and flash edges appear on the workpiece. Who has encountered this problem and how to solve it?
Method: 1. If there are too many layers, try adding six layers; 2. The amount of sand eaten is small, please enlarge it appropriately; 3. The pouring temperature may be a bit high, try lowering it a bit. 4. For the lamination sand box design, the process of using sand enclosure boxes and pressurized iron is relatively backward. When I create the lamination sand box design, I use the process of using metal molding plates at the top and bottom, fastening the lamination sand box with bolts, and locking the image. It has stronger operability and reliability than yours
